A Space That Feels Safe

Therapy should feel safe, accepting, and empowering. Every session is built on a strong therapeutic relationship — the foundation of real healing.
Beyond the Office

The Person Behind the Practice

Sedaya believes clients should leave therapy feeling confident and equipped for life's challenges — not dependent on it. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and always respectful of each person's religious and cultural background.

Outside of counseling, she loves spending time with her daughters and her puppy, Peanut. You'll often find her hiking, at the gym, enjoying musical theatre, or spending time at church. She brings that same genuine, grounded warmth into every session.

Common Questions

Answers to Your Most Asked Questions

Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions, and that's completely normal. Here are answers to some of the things people ask most often before their first session.

  • Yes. Sedaya offers secure video telehealth sessions to clients located anywhere in Arizona, as well as in-person appointments at the Peoria office. You're welcome to choose whichever feels most comfortable for you.

  • Beauty for Ashes Counseling accepts Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Private pay is also available at $150 per session. If you're unsure about your coverage, reach out and we'll be glad to help.

  • Sedaya works with individuals ages 13 and up, offering both individual and family counseling. Whether you're a teen, a young adult, or further along in life, you're welcome here.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they lose their intense emotional charge. It's one of the most effective treatments available for trauma and PTSD.

  • Your first session is about getting to know each other. Sedaya will listen to what brought you in, learn about your goals, and answer any questions you have. There's no pressure — just a safe space to begin at your own pace.

  • Not at all. Faith-based counseling is only offered to clients who specifically request it. If you'd prefer to keep faith out of your sessions, that's completely respected. Your care is always shaped around your beliefs and comfort.
